The Super Bowl is coming up and I am slowly but
surely being engaged in conversations that pertain to this American
holiday. Yes a holiday, because it is by
far the most honest day of celebration we ever have here in America; a
celebration of football, junk food, and commercials. Think about it, Christmas in America isn’t
nearly as much about Jesus as it is about consumerism and a guy in a red suit. St.
Patrick’s Day isn’t nearly as much about St. Patrick as it is about getting as
drunk as you possibly can in one night (because we know we deserve it). Let’s not forget Columbus Day. No one in recent memory during the twenty-first
said has said “thank god for Christopher Columbus.” It’s just an extra day off. Who knows maybe someday it will be a day of mourning
for all the lives that he seriously F’d up. So enjoy this honest holiday
internet, personally I’m rooting for the 49ers just because San Francisco is an
awesome city.
