I found an interesting article on the Trayvon Martin case.  Apparently the injuries that George Zimmerman had sustained on the back of his head could have been self-inflicted.  This article suggests that by slamming his own gun to the back of his own head, he tried to make it look like Trayvon beat him up.  It’s really interesting and I believe very plausible. http://dothprotesttoomuch.com/2012/12/06/what-do-you-think/
